How pricing works

We don't post a price for a bed bug job, because the price follows the rooms and the method. Here is what decides it, and when you get the number.

  • What decides the price

A bed bug job is priced by rooms and by method, and a few other things move it.

    • How many rooms or units the report covers

    • Whether neighboring rooms need an inspection

    • Heat or targeted treatment, or both

    • Furniture, clutter and access that slow the work

    • The number of follow-up inspections

  • What the estimate includes, and what it doesn't

The written estimate lists the rooms, the method, the follow-up visits and the terms for re-treatment.

    • Includes: inspection, treatment, follow-up inspections, the report

    • Doesn't include: replacing mattresses, furniture or linens

    • Doesn't include: laundering, or moving a guest

    • Doesn't include: rooms the report adds later

  • What happens at the visit

A technician inspects the rooms in the estimate and tells you what they found before leaving. If you go ahead, the inspection fee is credited toward the treatment of the same rooms.

  • Calls after hours

Our hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. A text sent after 10 p.m. is answered at 6 a.m. We don't schedule rooms overnight, so there is no night rate.

  • When you get the number

In writing, after the inspection, and before any treatment. The estimate is a fixed scope. If the work grows, we stop and ask you first.

  • If the job changes

We write the change down and you agree to it before we do more. A room added to the report is its own line, not a surprise on the invoice.

No figure is quoted by text, form or phone. The estimate is written, after the inspection.

The estimate

A written estimate has five lines

  • 01

    The rooms

Each room or unit by number, and why it is in the estimate.

  • 02

    The method

Heat, targeted treatment or both, and the product label we follow.

  • 03

    The visits

The treatment visit and each follow-up inspection, with intervals.

  • 04

    The terms

When we re-treat at no charge, and what ends that promise.

  • 05

    The total

One figure for the scope above, with what it leaves out written beside it.
